What this is
Christian therapy, in real life
For many Christians, the hesitation about therapy is not the cost or the logistics: it is wondering whether your faith will be treated as part of the solution or quietly filed as part of the problem. That wariness is fair, and the fix is simple: a practitioner who welcomes your framework instead of working around it.
Christian therapy on InnerHub means your faith, your prayer life and your church community can be present in the conversation to exactly the degree you want them to be: load-bearing, background, or somewhere between.

Sound familiar?
How it tends to show up
- Struggles that feel harder to name because you feel you should be coping
- Marriage and family strain you want worked on within your values
- Guilt and shame spirals that quote scripture at you
- Faith seasons: doubt, dryness, church hurt, transition
- Anxiety and burnout carried quietly under a serving exterior
- Grief that is wrestling with God as much as with loss
How therapy helps
What the work actually looks like
With a practitioner comfortable in a Christian framework, sessions can hold both the psychological and the spiritual:
- Working on anxiety, relationships or grief without checking your faith at the door
- Untangling healthy conviction from corrosive shame
- Support through church hurt or faith transition, without an agenda either way
- Values-aligned tools for marriage, parenting and conflict
Fair questions
Asked before booking
Will my counsellor definitely share my faith?
Profiles state where practitioners work within a Christian framework, and you can ask to be matched with someone who shares it. Being new, our pool is still growing: if the right fit is not available yet, we say so rather than force a match.
Is this pastoral care or Bible study?
Neither. It is therapy: structured support from an experienced practitioner, within a framework that respects your faith. It complements the care of your church community rather than replacing it.
I am not sure where I stand with faith right now. Still a fit?
Completely. Doubt and transition seasons are some of the most common reasons people seek this kind of therapy. No one will evangelise at you or usher you out the door.
Therapy is support, not clinical treatment: our practitioners do not diagnose or prescribe, and when what you need sits beyond therapy, their job is to say so and point you to it. Who they are and how we hold them to that is on Our Standards, and if you need urgent help right now, the numbers on crisis support are free and answer around the clock.
